Quote of the Day

“So why can’t you be friends with your ex?”

“Well, all my ex-boyfriends want to.”

“Okay. And?”

“And I’d prefer they die.”

“I see the problem.”

Do exes ever make good friends? I heard somewhere that one of the two will always want to hook up and so it can never work in a real way...

i only ever want to hook up with one ex, the one that got away. maybe the quote comes from a chick (you? some friend of yours?) that every guy she's with thinks got away.

so uh, can i meet her? you know, just to be friends.

otherwise, it's totally fine. except the new bf/gf's always get all pissy.

Honestly, I don't think it's possible for ex-es to be friends, and I say that as somebody who's got a decade's worth of experience on you. There's always going to be some level of attraction, and hence at least a bit of jealously.

I agree with Ha Ha. I moved out a year ago, and The Ex and I are just now on decent terms.

It's a dangerous situation because it's easy to fall into step again with someone so familiar. My ex slept over once this year (we didn't hook up), but in the morning he tried to get some.

The reason we broke up was because he cheated, so I gave him a resounding "Hell no!" I had to cut him out of my life completely.

exes cannot be simply friends, period

an ex is so for a reason; he made a rotten boyfriend therefore will probably make a rotten friend. and nobody likes a rotten friend.

friends with an ex? no.

now sex with an ex? maybe. if you can handle a second heartbreak.

My ex was the best man at my wedding.

HEH!

Exes make the worst friends. They're exes for a reason right? Practically all of my female friends have a vulture-like "ex" that hangs out and offers friendship, usually on the pretence of getting an easy "memorial shag" out of it (whether they're actually in a relationship themselves or not). I swear this is the only reason social networking sites are as successful as they are :)
