If...

In honor of the chill coming tonight...

Blood orange sorbetto, champagne chocolates, cashmere pajamas, and a flickering fire.

These are the things I’d have if the day were owned by me.

Whole grain oatmeal, bloated inbox, construction buzzing beneath me, and a flickering phone light.

These are the things I have because the day is not.

Hey...don't knock the oatmeal. That stuff tastes pretty awesome when you load it down with butter and brown sugar. *grin*. But I like your "in a perfect world" version better, though.

How do you like the gotham writing class? I'm thinking of giving it a go in the spring...

We are expecting snow tonight? Dang, it is so nice outside today albeit the wind.

The pajamas are the best. And the fire. I can get drunk just looking at a fire.

Thanks for the info! Do you ever run into the problem of wanting to tell people about you blog, perhaps a prospective boy, b/c you're proud of it? But it's like giving them key to your diary...I have found myself in this situation and now think I'm censoring my writing b/c of the audience. I'm worst that the FCC right?

I'd take your perfect day in a heartbeat. Too bad that it is going to snow-I was really enjoy the weather.

Your blog is great! I really enjoy your writing. Go Duke!

Thanks for all the comments guys, I really appreciate your input and your support--and because the night flurries didn't stick (and who knows if they came at all) I revised this post!

PS I did take slight control of the day yesterday to at least ignore my blinking phone...
